Ama Mawusi Mawuenyefia

Mawusi Ama Mawuenyefia is a seasoned business leader and strategic communications expert with over 15 years of experience delivering measurable impact across West Africa’s corporate landscape. Her expertise spans business development, customer service training, brand building, and go-to-market execution, making her a trusted figure in the FMCG and services sectors. Currently serving as Director of Communications at Ghana’s Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, she crafts and leads strategic communications to advance the Ministry’s mission.

She has spearheaded transformative commercial strategies for leading multinational organisations. As Director of Marketing and Category Channel Development at Upfield West Africa, she executed integrated strategies that increased market share and deepened channel penetration, overseeing a jurisdiction that spanned across 21 countries. She has served in various commercial capacities at spearheading brand repositioning campaigns, enhancing visibility and consumer engagement across big-named multinational companies such as British American Tobacco, Unilever, Beiersdorf, and Upfield (now Flora Foods).

She is also a sought-after trainer in customer service culture, brand experience, and team capability development.

Beyond business, she serves as Noyaa Manye (Development Queen Mother) of Alajo in Accra, championing education, employment, and healthcare initiatives.  She embodies a rare balance of corporate excellence and grassroots leadership, driven by a passion for inclusive development and people empowerment.
