

Mr. Kojo Frempong
Kojo Frempong heads the ‘Outside Inside’ view of the Fund. As Head of Corporate Affairs and External Relations, he is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Reputational Risk, Corporate Social Investment, Stakeholder Management and Corporate Communications of the Minerals Income Investment Fund.
Prior to assuming his current role, Mr. Frempong was the Official Cabinet Approved Spokesperson for Government of Ghana’s Infrastructure Ministries being; the Ministry of Roads and Highways; Ministry of Communications; Ministry of Works and Housing; Ministry of Sanitation, Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Railways Development. In this role, he was responsible for coordinating the project narrative of government in its infrastructure drive.
Prior to working with government, Kojo Frempong spent twenty years (20 years) in the Ghanaian Media where he either owned or worked in the Newspaper, Radio and Television sub-sectors. He was named the Best Television Presenter in Ghana for two consecutive years, 2014 and 2015 by the Radio and Television Awards.
Kojo Frempong has extensive experience in multi-disciplinary affairs including business development, governmental relations, finance and community development. He previously served as the Lead Implementor for Ghanaian Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) Airtel and Tigo in their community programs targeted at talent and youth development.
Mr. Frempong is a member of the Green Republic, a non-profit grassroots climate action organization committed to the fight against climate change through a vigorous afforestation program and other climate mitigating actions. He is also deeply interested in higher educational programs for Ghanaians everywhere in the world through the Youth Icons Project.
Mr. Frempong earned a Bachelor of Economics and English degree from the University of Ghana and a Masters in Public Administration degree from the Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard University. Kojo Frempong also studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has a certificate in Nonviolence Conflict Reconciliation from the University of Rhode Island.
